(CNSNews.com) - In his new best-selling book, Crimes Against Liberty: An Indictment of President Barack Obama, author David Limbaugh argues that Obama is a “narcissist” whose ego is outsized even compared to others who have sought and won the presidency of the United States.

President Bill Clinton, Limbaugh observed in an interview with CNSNews.com, “was your garden variety narcissist, where he wants adulation and adoration to the point where he’ll slide to the right or he’ll triangulate to keep his poll numbers high—anything to stay in power and stay popular.

“But Obama,” said Limbaugh, “is a more sophisticated narcissist, where he is grandiose.”

As an example of Obama’s grandiose self-assessment, Limbaugh pointed to the speech Obama gave in St. Paul, Minn., on June 3, 2008, the night he clinched the Democratic nomination for the presidency. It was then that Obama said: “This was the moment when the rise of the oceans began to slow and our planet began to heal.”

“Can you imagine that statement--the conceit of that statement!” said Limbaugh.

In Crimes Against Liberty, Limbaugh enumerates the nine traits of a narcissist, listed in the Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders, which begin with “Grandiose sense of self-importance” and end with “A tendency toward arrogant behavior and attitude.”

“You’ll be hard-pressed to deny that he’s every one of those nine,” Limbaugh told CNSNews.com.
