Conservatives Roast 'Outrageous Liberal Media Bias'

(CNSNews.com) - Liberalism sometimes is a laughing matter to conservatives, and hundreds of them had a good laugh Thursday night at the Media Research Center's annual "DisHonors Awards" in Washington, D.C. (Disclaimer: The MRC is the parent organization of CNSNews.com.)

Conservative notables Cal Thomas, Larry Kudlow, Mark Levin and Ann Coulter highlighted the event, where the "most outrageously biased liberal reporters" were quoted -- and roasted.

The award categories included the following: The Dan Rather Memorial Award for the Stupidest Analysis; The I'm Not a Political Genius But I Play One on TV Award; Damn Those Conservatives Award; The Barack Obama Gives a Thrill Up My Leg Award; and The How We Adore Clinton-Gore Award.

The MRC is providing video clips of the winners here.

DisHonors Awards winners are selected by a panel of 15, including Rush Limbaugh, Mark Levin, Laura Ingraham, Tony Blankley, Steve Forbes, Robert Novak, Walter E. Williams and Thomas S. Winter, who also served as judges.

The awards are accepted by conservatives standing in for liberals.

In addition to the roast, MRC President Brent Bozell honored former White House press secretary and journalist Tony Snow with the MRC's second annual "William F. Buckley Award for Media Excellence."

The evening also included a video tribute to Navy Lieutenant Michael Murphy, a SEAL who earned the Medal of Honor for his heroics in combat in Afghanistan. When his SEAL team was pinned down by enemy fire, Murphy moved to an open area to give the location and call in support. He was killed trying to save his team.
