Bomb kills 15 at Shiite funeral south of Baghdad

BAGHDAD (AP) — Police and medical officials say a car bomb has exploded near a mosque south of Baghdad, killing 15 people.

Officials say 42 people were also wounded in the bombing.

Many of the dead and wounded in Friday's attack were attending a funeral ceremony outside the mosque.

The officials spoke on condition of anonymity because they were not authorized to speak to the media.
