Boehner took the House floor Tuesday afternoon, encouraging lawmakers to vote to delay the implementation of both the employer and individual mandates in Obamacare.
“The law isn’t wonderful - it’s a train wreck,” Boehner said.
“You know it. I know it, and the American people know it. Even the president knows it. That’s why he proposed delaying his mandate on employers.”
Earlier this month, the White House announced the Obamacare provision requiring businesses to provide employee health care or pay fines would be delayed a full year.
Boehner is calling on a vote to delay the individual health insurance mandate in Obamacare tomorrow.
“And I hope that Republicans and Democrats alike will vote to do what’s fair and protect all Americans from this disastrous law,” Boehner said.
