At a campaign rally in Sarasota, Fla. Wednesday, Biden even mentioned two separate numbers to explain what those earning $1 million or more would receive in tax cuts.

“The $5 trillion, which I might add would add, would give of that $5 trillion, would give $1.6 trillion of it goes to people making a minimum of $1 million a year, causing by every serious study, middle class taxes to go up,” Biden said.

During that same Sarasota speech, Biden said the tax cut would be $400 billion more.

“You have to ask them why do they do this? They’re not bad guys. Why do they do this?” Biden said after accusing Republicans of seeking to cut spending on education. “This is all in the service of making sure they have enough money to provide the $2 trillion-plus in additional tax cuts for people making a million or more.”
