Ariz. police confirm 2nd hack on officers' email
PHOENIX (AP) — Arizona state police say a second computer hacking attack in as many weeks targeted personal email accounts of some of its officers.
Department of Public Safety spokesman Capt. Steve Harrison says the agency is reviewing the information released Tuesday by a group now calling itself AntiSec. An attack last week by the computer hacking collective group Lulz Security targeted officers' DPS emails.
LulzSec said Saturday that it was disbanding, but the postings Wednesday appeared very similar and referenced the earlier attack.
AntiSec said in an online post that it was hitting Arizona police again and "dumping booty pirated from a dozen Arizona police officer's personal email accounts looking specifically for humiliating dirt."
The group says spokesman Harrison was one of those it targeted.
