Well, this is something that'll brighten your day.
Last week, Sgt. Ariel Soltura was driving around a neighborhood in Rosenburg, Texas when he saw 10-year old Jermaine Ford flipping a football in his hands. He had no one to play catch with until Sgt. Soltura stepped out of his vehicle to throw him a few passes. This type of activity is reportedly part of a youth outreach program by local law enforcement.
"I wasn't expecting that," said Ford. "I thought that I was in trouble and I did something wrong." Yet, Sgt. Soltura mentioned that those feelings Ford had quickly subsided. "Something snapped in his head where he's like 'Hey, this guy's here to play football with me,'" Soltura noted.
