With his celebrity boxing match with rapper DMX cancelled by promoters due to death threats, what is George Zimmerman doing now?
Apparently life hasn’t been easy for the 30-year-old since being acquitted of second-degree murder and manslaughter charges in the death of Trayvon Martin.
Zimmerman has received some money from selling one of his paintings for over $100,000 on eBay, but according to the Univision interview, he still has millions in debt that he owes to his defense lawyers. He's hopeful he will receive some money in a lawsuit he filed against NBC News regarding an edited 911 call that was broadcast by the network.
Zimmerman has maintained that he acted in self–defense when he shot Martin but he says the publicity of the trial has made it nearly impossible for him to go anywhere without being recognized.
He tells CNN that he would like to resume his education to become an attorney. “I think that’s the best way to stop the miscarriage of justice that happened to me from happening to somebody else.”
