A United States Postal Worker was caught on video in Alabama apparently throwing packages from his van down a ravine.
According to AL.com, the video, posted on YouTube July 2, led to the resignation of the postal worker on July 3.
When asked about the video, Special Agent Kenneth D. Smith with the Office of the Inspector General told AL.com the individual in question resigned Thursday.
"As with any ongoing OIG investigation, I can't comment on specifics," Smith told AL.com. "However, I can confirm the individual in this situation has resigned from the Postal Service as of this afternoon."
Smith would not comment if charges were being sought.
The name of the USPS employee in the video who resigned has not been released.
