A Florida bartender was arrested after police say she beat up an elderly customer.
WTSP-TV reports, the incident happened June 2 at the Fraternal Order of Eagles Club, in New Port Richey, Fla.
When officers responded to the establishment, they found a customer, 84-year-old Audrey Nichols, sitting with several wounds on her arms.
Nichols told police she and her boyfriend were sitting at a table listening to a live band perform. She says they felt the volume was just too loud. Nichols told investigators that her boyfriend approached the band to tell them to turn down their speakers, and that's when the bartender, 56 year-old Pamela Smith, confronted the couple and told them to talk to her instead of the band.
Nichols claims the bartender was rude, so they decided to leave. As they were walking by the bar, Nichols says she called the bartender a "b****."
A physical altercation shortly followed and was captured by surveillance cameras.
Police say the surveillance video shows the exit door opening, with Nichols falling to the ground. They say it also shows Smith grabbing her by the arm and dragging her across the floor.
Smith was arrested and charged with battery on a person 65 years old or older.
