California lawmakers are considering a first-in-the-nation bill that would require parents to discuss vaccinations with pediatricians or nurse practitioners before they would be allowed to exempt their children, a move that has angered parents at private schools with high opt-out rates. 80 percent of the students at the school have filed personal belief exemptions to get out of vaccinating their children.
