Basic Rights Under the Constitution
Many of our fundamental rights are included in the first 10 amendments to the Constitution, also referred to as the Bill of Rights. Most of those rights were a reflection of things the American colonists thought were wrong with British rule prior to the Revolutionary War. Additional rights have been conferred throughout the years to reflect changes in American society and culture. This week's quiz tests your understanding of some of those basic rights.
