Mr. and Mrs. Neel were invited onto the field before the Memorial Day Los Angeles Dodgers baseball game to give a special message to their son serving overseas. Or, so they thought.

The truth was much better. U.S. Army Lt. Brandon Neel showed up on the field during the interview and gave his parents what may be the surprise of their lives.

Returning a week earlier than his parents expected him back, Lt. Neel received an overjoyed embrace from his shocked mother. Apparently, the Dodgers and Lt. Neel worked together to organize the surprise reunion.

"Thank you Dodgers. Thank you Los Angeles," Mr. Neel said.

What a great moment. I'll never get tire of seeing our service men and women reunited with their loving families. That kind of joy is hard to come by anywhere else.
