"I said, you know what? I've worked all my life hard to get everything I've got. I've bought and paid for it, try getting a job" Rob Wegman told WOWT. He said this while holding an alleged burglar at gun point in his garage. This came after several other break-ins at Mr. Wegman's garage.
After being caught, the burglar pleaded with Mr. Wegman to let him go. He even tried bribing him at one point. "He said, 'I can get you all of your stuff back and a thousand dollars,' and I was, like, you think I'm going to let you go? You're a robber."
Frankly, the alleged burglar ought to be glad he was taken out of Mr. Wegman's garage in the back of a police car. He very well could've ended up being taken out in the back of an ambulance. Robbing the responsibly-armed isn't a smart profession, but it certainly is a dangerous one.
Let's hope that the alleged burglar takes Mr. Wegman's advice to heart and starts earning his keep instead of trying to steal from others. Let's hope, if the alleged burglar does turn his life around, that he comes back and thanks Mr. Wegman for only giving him sound advice that night and not a shotgun blast.
