A house on the aptly named Remington Road in Lower Merion, just outside of Philadelphia, was broken into by several burglars recently. According to WPVI, the homeowner interrupted the burglary while it was in progress. He managed to fire a number of shots at the intruders and forced them to flee.

The homeowner was reportedly not harmed and police do not believe any of the suspected burglars were shot.

"If the people who like to break into homes understand that the people inside are armed they may think twice about it," said neighbor Mark Koral who also keeps a firearm for home defense.
