In a series of tweets starting March 25, Hollywood actor James Woods blasted both Republicans and Democrats for allowing Obamacare to stay intact, saying that members should “[l]et #ObamaCare rot on the vine.”
“Let #ObamaCare rot on the vine,” James Woods stated in a tweet on March 25. “If it’s as bad as we believe, it will implode. If by some miracle it works, keep it.”
James Woods’s tweets come after House GOP leadership pulled a controversial Obamacare reform bill without a vote Friday afternoon upon determining that they did not have support from a “sufficient” number of conservative members for it to pass.
Saturday, March 25, James Woods responded to a tweet from Senator Rand Paul, wherein Sen. Paul called for Obamacare to be “fully repealed”:
“I would agree,” stated Woods, “but then real health care in America will never be a solved issue. It will atrophy and people will suffer.”
The actor did not stop there, however.
“How is it POSSIBLE that the entire Congress cannot come up with a sound solution to national health care?” asked Woods on Sunday, March 26. “We need to start fresh #TermLimits”
“Why can’t Congress do anything right anymore…?” Woods questioned later.
“#Dems have pushed ‘health care’ since 1992," the actor continued. "@GOP says they can do better. As of today we are stuck with failing #Obamacare. Both sides suck.”
And finally, tweeting around 9:00 PM EST on Sunday, Woods summed up his thoughts on Obamacare: “#Trump and the majority of both Houses were elected to repeal the catastrophe called #ObamaCare. Why are they waffling?”
