( – Media Research Center President L. Brent Bozell told Sean Hannity on Fox News Channel on Thursday that he blames the mainstream media for not reporting the truth about the crimes occurring at Occupy Wall Street protests nationwide.

Bozell said the national news has not reported the rapes, assaults and other crimes committed at Occupy protests across the country, but there was “nonstop media coverage” of allegations that the “n-word” was used during a Tea Party protest.

“When at a Tea Party event, somebody allegedly used the ‘n-word’ once, it was nonstop media coverage, and never mind that it never happened, but when this is going on, and it goes on all over the country every single day. Just watch Fox TV, and you’ll see it all day long, go on the Internet and look at the pictures of the defecation that’s going on, on the American flag,” Bozell said.

“Look at the violence that you’re starting to see, the rapes, the assaults. It is getting really ugly out there. You said a minute ago that to a certain degree, you held Bloomberg responsible, as do I. I’m starting to hold the national news media responsible for this as well, because they’re not telling the truth,” he added.

Bozell said if the truth were reported about the violence taking place at the protests, the American people “wouldn’t stand for this.”
