In an interview with Conservative Commandos Radio Show (CCRS) today, rock legend Ted Nugent said he would be glad to run for office if asked and prodded to do so.

Near the end of the interview, CCRS Host, Rick Trader asked, "Ted, one last question - several of my Facebook friends asked me, well they asked if you're going to run for senator, or are you going to run for president?  Do you have political aspirations?"

Nugent responded:

"If I am approached and offered and prodded to run for public office, and I believe that the citizens will be behind me, which I know they would be, I would be more than happy to do so.

"And, I would start my campaign out by the following:  I would say 'Hello, my name is Ted Nugent.  I got nine kids from seven different women and I'm running for President of the United States.  Any questions?'"

Earlier in the interview, Nugent declared "apathy" the greatest threat to America.

"Once the citizenry discovers how they can vote in people taking from others to give to them...that's what we're living in America today," Nugent said. "Apathy is the suicidal curse of America today and we've got the perfect control right now," he added.
