Today, Rush Limbaugh said the reason the First Lady is called “Michelle Antoinette” is that she and her husband “live like kings” and are out of touch with most Americans.

“Forget what the Obamas earned - look how they live…there’s a reason she’s called Michelle Antoinette.”

“She takes her own separate jets to Spain with thirty-five people - you and I are paying for it - she takes her own separate jet to Hawaii.  Barack and Michelle Obama are living like kings.”

Rush was discussing a Reuters article that said Mitt Romney’s wealth shows that he’s out of touch with the experiences of typical Americans.  He then commented on the Obama’s 2010 tax return that showed they earned $1,728,096 and asked if they were out of touch?

“It is never said about the Obama’s that they are out of touch with the experiences of typical Americans.”

Rush also revealed that the Clintons earned more than $110 million in the seven years leading up to 2008 and said that they were never called out of touch “because they’re Democrats.”
