President Barack Obama's job approval rating experienced a two-point bounce overnight, according to a daily poll conducted by Gallup.

On Monday, Obama's approval rating stood at 48 percent. One day later, and after the tragic bombing at the Boston Marathon, the president's approval rating stands at 50 percent.

The president's disapproval rate dropped three points from 46 percent to 43 percent.

Gallup tracks the percentage of Americans who approve or disapprove of the job Obama is doing as president each day.  The results are based on telephone interviews with approximately 1,500 adults.
