Obama: Pass Bill To Create Construction Jobs Before The Roof 'Caves In'

During today’s surprise White House press conference, President Obama said Congress can't afford to wait until the roof "caves in" before passing a jobs bill.

The president specifically mentioned the more than 1 million unemployed construction workers here in the United States.

Obama said: “Since the housing bubble burst, we’ve got more than 1 million construction workers out of work.  There’s nothing fiscally responsible about waiting to fix your roof, until it caves in.”

The president called on Congress to pass legislation that would put these workers, and others back to work.
