Tuesday, radio host Rush Limbaugh said that Pres. Obama was “waving the white flag” and “admitting that his policies are failures” by proposing that the Bush tax cuts for those earning under $250,000 be extended another year:

“Obama - as [Charles] Krauthammer said yesterday, and I happen to agree with Krauthammer on this - Obama, by doing what he did yesterday on the Bush tax cuts is basically waving the white flag. He’s basically surrendering on the whole notion that his economic answers work. That’s really what he did yesterday.

“By extending the Bush tax cuts for 98% of the American people, he is tantamount admitting that his policies are failures.

“Obama has been blaming the Bush tax cuts for all the problems he inherited. He has admitted that in three and a half years he is unable to do anything about what Bush did - he’s not able to fix it. He’s admitting his incompetence. He’s admitting, yesterday, that his policies are failures and he’s moving to the right.”
