Now that his jobs bill has gone to pieces, Pres. Obama has decided to see if he can sell it a la carte by jumping into his $1.1 million bus for another tour. They say one sign you're losing it is repeating the same failed action and expecting a different result.

The president will embark on a three-day bus tour through North Carolina and Virginia, flaunting his million-dollar ride in front of the needy Americans his policies are supposed to help. If he were in the NFL, they’d throw a flag for taunting.

According to the AP, “Obama first used the custom-made bus during a similar road trip in August, when he traveled through Minnesota, Iowa and Illinois.” Now, Obama’s brain trust has come up with its next big idea: Obama Bus Tour II – which might not have been a bad idea, except that the first bus tour was a dud.

As reported at the time: “Obama’s politically charged but taxpayer funded bus tour through the Midwest turned into a bust yesterday with his approval rating dropping back to its all-time low of 39 percent.”

So, it seems like Bus Tour II is just a retread, a tired idea gone flat from a campaign team that’s obviously run out of gas.
