Phillips L Gausewitz, M.D. has been involved in medical care since service as a hospital corpsman in the U.S. Navy in 1943. He has worked in Navy, university, religious, and not-for-profit hospitals, served as Director of Laboratories at Scripps Memorial Hospital in La Jolla, California, and founded and directed a large (500 employee) private medical laboratory.
