The state Republican Party, meanwhile, is staying mum about the lawmaker--and his proposal.   Rep. John LaBruzzo, a Republican legislator from the New Orleans area, has been under fire for proposing to curb “generational welfare” by offering cash incentives to poor women who voluntarily undergo sterilization.
