At a recent gathering of some of the most rabid pro-aborts in the nation, Senator Al Franken apologized for being a guy. I don’t think he needs to apologize.

The top of the hour radio news yesterday talked of a California bill that calls for the sales tax on diapers to be removed. CBS Sacramento writes, “Some of California’s most liberal and conservative lawmakers are joining forces to make diapers duty free.” Duty free, haha.

The Speaker of the House of the United States of America invited the Prime Minister of our most trusted ally in the Middle East, and the only democracy in that region, to speak before Congress. And our president had a fit.

I came upon an article highlighted by Gateway Pundit, called, “Obama to Nigerian Christians: Change Laws on Abortion, Homosexuality If you Want Protection from Boko Haram.” The story is about an interview in Aleteia, a Christian news site, of a Nigerian Bishop who laid the charge that the Obama administration refuses to help Nigeria deal with Boko Haram because of the view that the administration has of population control in a country where nearly half of the population is under the age of 15.

Horrific reports have been coming out about the terrible treatment of girls and women who are captured by ISIS. Women and girls, including the pre-pubescent are being subjected to rape in the most brutal and depraved manner, causing some to take their own lives rather than endure the horror. So sick is the Islamic State that reports are out that the ISIS fighters are demanding Viagra to carry on their unnatural crimes against humanity.

I didn't realize 81-year-old Supreme Court Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg was sloshed at the State of the Union address last month when she was clearly sleeping through the president's speech. Did you?

Nancy Pelosi got herself to a microphone this week and reminded the good people of America that time is running out to sign up for Obamacare. "As a nice Valentine day," the Minority Leader offered, "you can take your loved one to sign up for the Affordable Care Act."

I'm not completely sure what to make of reports that Pope Francis will, according to The Guardian, "issue a lengthy message on the subject [of climate change] to the world’s 1.2 billion Catholics, [and] give an address to the UN general assembly and call a summit of the world’s main religions."

It's amazing to look at the amount of column space that is used up by a blogger for the Washington Post's so-called "Right Turn" blog that tries to demoralize and belittle conservative politicians.

Jennifer Rubin of the Washington Post is quite the constitutional conservative hater. Why would a handful of “hard right” Senators stand in the way of progress, by standing in opposition to bad law, or what Rubin calls, "The Art of (Never) Compromising." Rubin laments that by raising a Constitutional Point of Order that was voted down by all leftists and 20 Republican caucus members, our great institution is in peril.

Too often, the reason that people try to get elected to office is to work up to the point of getting to Washington D.C., and then cash in.

In one more attempt to show Americans just what they are made of, the leftists in government released a report charging the CIA with torture methods when dealing with terrorists.

Well, we aren't evolving fast enough, says Stephen Hawking, and we're evolving too fast says the climate police; how will we get out of this alive?

Senator Chuck Schumer made some people on the left cringe this week when he said that lawmakers were wrong in pushing and passing Obamacare when it was obvious the American people didn't want it.

Peter Wehner made Mark Levin the target of his work at Commentary lately, as an extension of his zeal to cast G. W. Bush as more of a conservative than Reagan was, and label numerous prominent conservatives as “purists” in desperate need of moderating their tone. Levin, rejecting the notion of being lectured to by a Bush grandee responded, correcting Wehner and calling attention to his aptitude for cherry-picking facts so that he can knock down prominent conservatives, and conservative causes.

The Obama administration and too many policymakers are at constant odds with the American people. Polls show the unpopularity of their actions on nearly everything they do. But regardless of the sentiment of the people, they move forward, ever resolute, ever defiant.

In an Associated Press report that reads like a statement from a defense attorney, we are told that upcoming unilateral action from the current President is not new, and in fact, that Republican Presidents have acted alone on amnesty in the past.
November 13, 2014, 1:53 PM EST
After an election touted as a disaster for those aligned with the President, is it reasonable for policymakers to avoid a full defense of their oath of office in the face of a constitutional crisis caused by the threat of Presidential executive action?

I read a quote the other day from a Senator who wishes to define his approach in government as, "non-confrontational."

President Obama said five days before his first election in 2008 that he wanted to "fundamentally transform America." He, and his cohorts on the left, want the nation to move away from individual freedom and more toward faceless, sameness and acquiescence to a supreme leader.
