I’ve had it with the so-called Catholic advisors to the Pope like Cardinal Oscar Andres Rodriguez Maradiaga, Archbishop of Tegucigalpa, Honduras.  He is attacking the source of the money he says that third world countries desperately need, and conflating charity with government.

President Obama made some remarks the other day that got the attention of a lot of conservative media people.  The initial reaction to Obama’s words by many in conservative media has been to show that Obama thinks the media should help change the body politic.  It’s nothing new that Obama has some powerful help in the mainstream media that either don’t bother asking tough questions, only report what the White House wants them to say, and/or do less research on a particular story than your average blogger.

There are more and more articles across the internet warning us about the breakthroughs in Artificial Intelligence (AI).  I commented before that the famous atheist Stephen Hawking thinks we aren’t evolving fast enough to keep up with AI. He even suggested that humans might face extinction at the hands of robots who are redesigning themselves without human help.

The White House Correspondents’ Association Dinner is Saturday night, and the supposed reason it is held is to raise money for journalism scholarships. But as Patrick Gavin wrote at Politico, “So why, then, does the Association only dole out around $100,000 in scholarships annually when some of the richest people in the world are at their dinner?” Good question.

A couple of weeks ago, the website Twitchy highlighted the reaction to a single tweet from Wheel of Fortune host and free marketer Pat Sajak. Sajak, commenting on the minimum wage protests, said that when he had a minimum wage job, he worked to get out of it, rather than work to “better the minimum wage.”

Chants during soccer games have been on the rise, attacking Jews. The article lists several outrageous taunts such as, “Hamas, Hamas, Jews to the gas,” and, “My father was in the commandos, my mother was in the SS, together they burned Jews, because Jews burn the best!” and more.

I don’t know exactly when it happens, but there comes a point in the life of some people who have become successful when they forget, or perhaps they never knew, how difficult it is to scratch by.

The latest on Michelle Obama’s School Lunch fiasco is reported by Kyle Olsen of the Education Action Group Foundation. It seems so much food is wasted by schools that local hog producers are feeding tons of the waste to pigs.

The recent legislation signed into law in the State of Indiana by Governor Mike Pence hinges on the idea that if a person opens a privately-owned business, they must be able to serve those who wish to pay for services under their own discretion of right and wrong.

When massive protests come to a state capitol, in an effort to protect the protesters from any opposition, the capital police rope off areas where protests should occur. Yet a handful of people saying the Lord’s Prayer outside the office of the Speaker of the House are rushed upon and told to cease because they are breaking the law.

Starbucks executive Corey duBrowa recently deleted his twitter account, after what he said were abusive comments as a result of his push for a campaign in which his baristas were to engage with customers about race relations.

Communist agitator Saul Alinsky wrote two books for the organization of communist sympathizers, whose goal was to invert every law and principle upon which this nation stands. Reveille for Radicals and Rules for Radicals, written in 1946 and 1971 respectively, taught young Communists how to overthrow the American way of life.

At a recent gathering of some of the most rabid pro-aborts in the nation, Senator Al Franken apologized for being a guy. I don’t think he needs to apologize.

The top of the hour radio news yesterday talked of a California bill that calls for the sales tax on diapers to be removed. CBS Sacramento writes, “Some of California’s most liberal and conservative lawmakers are joining forces to make diapers duty free.” Duty free, haha.

I came upon an article highlighted by Gateway Pundit, called, “Obama to Nigerian Christians: Change Laws on Abortion, Homosexuality If you Want Protection from Boko Haram.” The story is about an interview in Aleteia, a Christian news site, of a Nigerian Bishop who laid the charge that the Obama administration refuses to help Nigeria deal with Boko Haram because of the view that the administration has of population control in a country where nearly half of the population is under the age of 15.
