Re: Interim Report of Judicial Watch, Inc., to Congress Detailing Impeachable Offenses Committed by President William Jefferson Clinton, and Those Acting Under His Authority.
On behalf of Judicial Watch, Inc., a non-partisan public interest government watchdog, we hereby submit our interim report for your Committee's consideration on whether to begin an impeachment inquiry into alleged impeachable offenses committed by President William Jefferson Clinton.
This interim report was prepared from information and evidence obtained by Judicial Watch over the last four years, in prosecuting its various cases against the Clinton Administration.
This interim report supplements "The Starr Report," and details, in 145 pages of text and 8 volumes (187 exhibits) of documentary exhibits and evidence of bribery, possible treason, and other high crimes and misdemeanors involved in what has become known during the Clinton presidency as "Filegate," Chinagate and related scandals. It refutes the commonly held notion that President Clinton's only alleged offenses against the American people concern his now admitted telling of "lies about his personal life."
Judicial Watch, and its hundreds of thousands of supporters, respectfully request that your Committee seriously weigh and consider this interim report. In this regard, we stand ready to assist you, and your majority and minority staffs, in whatever way you and they deem appropriate. We have provided 37 additional copies of the interim report so that each member of the Judiciary Committee, Republican and Democrat, can have one.
Unless there is full accountability for the far more serious offenses which this President has committed against the American people, a bad, and potentially catastrophic, precedent will be set for future generations. Moreover, our nation's security, and the privacy rights of its citizens, will be further compromised.
Accordingly, thank you for your full consideration of the facts contained in this interim report.
Sincerely,
JUDICIAL WATCH, INC.
